Indus Care Foundation: A Legacy of Healing, A Future of Hope
A Foundation Rooted in Ayurveda, Humanity, and Healthcare
Indus Care Foundation is not just a non-profit organization—it's the living legacy of Mudgal Ayurveda Bhavan, a name trusted in Ayurvedic healthcare since 1978.
The foundation carries forward a 45-year-long commitment to health and wellness, built by Dr. Kamal Kant Mudgal, a visionary and pioneer in Ayurvedic medicine and herbal healthcare.
He established Mudgal Ayurveda Bhavan with a single goal: to improve public health using natural, time-tested remedies rooted in Indian tradition.
This noble mission is now continued and expanded by his sons, Dr. Abhishek Mudgal and Dr. Saurabh Mudgal.
Under their leadership, the organization evolved into a more structured and socially impactful model—forming what we know today as Indus Care Foundation, officially founded in 2020.
Our Mission: Healthcare for All, Not Just the Privileged
Indus Care Foundation was created to address one of the most pressing challenges in India: the lack of accessible, affordable healthcare in underserved communities.
Operating from Delhi NCR, the foundation focuses on medical outreach, emergency support, preventive healthcare, and life-saving interventions through a variety of programs and services.
Our central mission is simple but urgent:
“To bridge the healthcare gap in India, especially for the rural and economically weaker populations.”
Expanding the Vision: Blood Banks & Pathology Services
What started with Ayurveda has now transformed into a multi-faceted health initiative.
The foundation today runs more than five licensed blood banks across Delhi NCR. It also provides certified pathology services, ensuring faster and accurate diagnostics for those who often go undiagnosed due to cost or access.
This ecosystem supports both emergency and preventive healthcare—serving patients at critical times and improving long-term well-being.
Milestones and Impact Since 2020
50,000+ patients supported across India
150+ corporate partners in CSR programs
15+ ongoing healthcare initiatives
Emergency health response teams on-call
Through consistent outreach and medical support, the foundation has grown into one of the most trusted grassroots health initiatives in North India.
Our Core Initiatives
1. Rural Health Check-Up Camps
We organize free medical camps in underserved regions where even basic healthcare is often unavailable.
These camps offer general consultations, screenings, and on-spot treatments.
2. Blood Investigations & Pathology
Indus Care Foundation provides free diagnostic services, especially in our camps. Early detection of diseases like diabetes, anemia, infections, and more can save lives.
3. Free Medicine Distribution
Essential medicines are provided free of cost during camps and health drives. Chronic illness management and primary care are made accessible for all age groups.
4. Blood Donation Drives
The foundation actively organizes regular blood donation camps with corporates, educational institutes, and public volunteers.
With India facing an annual blood shortage of nearly 2 million units, these efforts are literally lifesaving.
5. COVID-19 Relief Programs
During the pandemic, we distributed:
Thousands of face masks and hand sanitizers
Ayurvedic immunity booster kits
Health education and awareness across containment zones
6. Kawar Yatra First Aid Camps
Pilgrims walking barefoot during the Kawar Yatra receive on-ground first aid, hydration, and rest support—preventing heatstroke, injury, and exhaustion during the spiritual journey.
India’s Blood Shortage: The Unseen Crisis
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, India requires over 12 million units of blood annually. But supply falls short by at least 1.5 to 2 million units each year.
This affects:
Thalassemia patients needing monthly transfusions
Accident victims and trauma cases
Pregnant women in labor
Cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy
Rural patients without blood access
Indus Care Foundation steps in where others cannot—with blood offered at charitable rates or completely free, depending on the patient's need.
Who Receives Free Blood Support?
Thalassemia patients (monthly requirement)
Blood cancer patients
Pregnant women from rural or low-income families
Patients without donor availability
By ensuring no patient is denied life-saving blood due to cost or lack of donors, we reinforce our belief: Human life has no price tag.
